Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve is a favorite for both hikers and mountain bikers — a true natural gem with over 2,700 acres of wooded hills, lakes, and glacial ridges. The hiking trails weave through mature forest, offering scenic views and peaceful solitude.
Although the park is well-known for its singletrack mountain biking system, the hiking trails are just as rewarding — with wildlife, quiet ponds, and rolling terrain that gives you the feel of the North Woods, right within the Twin Cities Metro.
Expect moderate climbs and a few longer routes that challenge your endurance while rewarding you with stunning forest scenery.
