The Dam Trail explores the area surrounding Lake Bronson’s historic dam, built by the WPA in the 1930s. It’s a peaceful walk with views of the lake, rolling prairie, and the expansive northern sky.
The trail’s gentle grade makes it perfect for all skill levels. Interpretive signs highlight the park’s Civilian Conservation Corps heritage and its role in shaping the region’s ecology.
Photographers will find great light near sunrise and sunset as it reflects off the dam and prairie grasses.
